The day the ship docked at Hobart, Tasmania, was a
State-wide holiday, so many facilities were closed.  However,
a fair was underway all day:  the Royal Hobart Show, hosted
by the Royal Agricultural Society of Tasmania.

It was to all intents and purposes a U.S. State Fair, familiar to us
Minnesotans, although held in the Spring rather than the Fall.
(My supposition:  U.S. state fairs celebrate harvest; the RHS
celebrates birth of new calves and lambs.)

We visited, and my photographs are little different than those
taken at the Minnesota State Fair, seen elsewhere on this site.
