This Daisy sewing machine had no doubt seen many threads and many
owners.  (The "Daisy" line is now subsumed within the Husqvarna Viking
sewing machine family.)  One or more members of the family to whom
this antique belonged (seen and photographed in a dwelling's
open doorway) no doubt earned a respectable income doing
piecework on it.
